Data Migration for Projects

The Carina team will manage data migration for project folders.

Where are my files?

Carina 2.0 has a copy of your project directory at /projects/[PI]/[project_id]/main. This snapshot was taken between mid-December 2025 and the beginning of January 2026. You will not be able to access it until you move to Carina 2.0.

What do I need to do when I’m ready to move to Carina 2.0?

Any work done on Carina 1.0 after the snapshot will need to be merged into Carina 2.0. When you are ready to move your work to Carina 2.0, request a final sync by sending an email to srcc-support@stanford.edu. Team Carina will work with you to close down your Carina 1.0 space and merge any changes in /share into your data on Carina 2.0. This is a personalized process; we will give you a timeline once we analyze your migration, and can schedule the work around your needs.
