Stanford Data Sources on Carina

Access to STAnford Research Repository (STARR)

STARR (the STAnford Research Repository) is your gateway to a vast collection of clinical data, curated and protected by our Research IT team.

Carina provides the secure, high-powered computing environment you need to analyze this sensitive data.

As a Stanford researcher, you can apply for access. Once approved, you can explore the main STARR database and save the specific data you need right into your own private Carina project to begin your analysis.

Access to Population Health Sciences data

The Center for Population Health Sciences offers a wealth of population health data through its PHS Data Portal. To get started, you can find detailed access instructions in the PHS documentation.

Once you have access, you can use the PHS Data Portal to create custom datasets and seamlessly export your data cuts to your Carina project for further analysis.
